At approximately 2300 hrs., Officer Jones was dispatched to 1234 Main St., Fayetteville NC in reference to a possible home invasion. Officer Jones received information that the caller was a male child approximately 12 years of age and hiding in a closet. The child said he heard his back door kicked in and people walking around in his house. The child was crying on the phone, whispering that he was home alone, scared, and didn’t know what to do. What do YOU do?

Would you like to help people like this child? Want to learn more about what law enforcement officers do on a daily basis? Come join us! Fayetteville Technical Community College will be conducting a Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program through Summerscapes. We will learn about the law enforcement community and the different rewarding career paths this profession has to offer. Some of the things that will be covered in this program are: public speaking, patrol, weapon safety (simulator weapons only), interviewing, physical fitness, investigations, testifying in court, crime scene processing, and educational opportunities. Come join us and learn more about the law enforcement profession!
